## Why Web Performance Matters
Web performance directly dictates user conversion rates, Google Core Web Vitals rankings, and overall user retention. When processing client-side PDF documents and large graphical workflows, optimizing CPU usage, memory leaks, and DOM node bloat is essential.
### 1. In-Browser Buffer & Memory Management
Never retain large `Uint8Array` instances or decompressed PDF buffers in global React state longer than necessary. Always trigger `URL.revokeObjectURL()` on temporary object URLs once operations finish.
### 2. Offloading Compute to Web Workers
Compute-heavy operations like image quantization, barcode matrix synthesis, and PDF stream decompression must run outside the main thread to prevent UI freezing and input delays (INP).
### 3. Vector-First Layout Delivery
Whenever possible, utilize vector representations for labels, invoices, and barcodes. Vector rendering guarantees sharp 203 DPI and 300 DPI outputs without massive pixel buffers.
